Eleven intervention projects, built for real communities

Each initiative below is a distinct, active project — the practical, on-the-ground expression of our four thematic programs.

Community Advocacy and Mobilization

GVTF's Community Advocacy and Mobilization initiative focuses on raising public awareness, educating communities, and influencing decision-makers to drive positive social change. Through advocacy, outreach, and stakeholder engagement, the program empowers communities to take action on critical issues and supports inclusive, informed development.

VC (Vulnerable Children) Intervention Project

GVTF's Vulnerable Children (VC) Intervention Project provides comprehensive support to children affected by poverty, HIV/AIDS, conflict, and other challenging circumstances. The project offers access to education, healthcare, nutrition, psychosocial support, shelter, and legal aid. Its goal is to protect the rights of vulnerable children and ensure they thrive in safe, supportive environments and reach their full potential.

HIV/AIDS Self-Test Intervention Project

GVTF's HIV/AIDS Self-Test Intervention Project aims to expand access to HIV testing by enabling individuals to test themselves privately and conveniently. This approach reduces stigma and barriers to testing, promotes early detection, and supports timely treatment. The project also provides counseling and treatment services using the Vision 95-95-95 strategy, particularly in rural communities, to improve health outcomes and reduce the spread of HIV.

Tuberculosis Intervention

GVTF's Tuberculosis Intervention aims to prevent and control the spread of TB through public education, community awareness campaigns, infection control in healthcare settings, and collaboration with local health authorities for effective monitoring and response to TB outbreaks.

Mental Health Intervention Project

GVTF's Mental Health Intervention Project is designed to address mental health challenges and promote emotional well-being within communities. The project provides support services, resources, and awareness campaigns to assist individuals facing mental health issues, while working to reduce stigma and foster a supportive, informed environment.

Education and Psychosocial Support Program

GVTF's Education and Psychosocial Support Program integrates academic learning with emotional and social care to support vulnerable children. By addressing mental health challenges through counseling, therapy, and support groups, the program helps participants build resilience, develop emotional intelligence, and overcome barriers to learning — ensuring holistic development and long-term well-being.

Disability Rights-Based Advocacy Project

The GVTF Disability Rights-Based Advocacy Project is designed to empower persons with disabilities by promoting their rights, challenging stigma and discrimination, and fostering inclusion. The project advocates for equal access to opportunities, services, and resources, ensuring that individuals with disabilities are treated with dignity and that their rights are fully recognized, protected, and upheld in all aspects of society.

Entrepreneurial Advancement Support

GVTF Entrepreneurial Advancement Support Program promotes economic independence for youth, women, and vulnerable groups by providing skills acquisition and capacity-building opportunities. Recognizing that access to resources enhances individual and community well-being, the program empowers beneficiaries to improve their livelihoods, foster self-reliance, and make meaningful contributions to society through sustainable entrepreneurship.

Health, Nutrition and Adolescent Programs

GVTF's Health, Nutrition, and Adolescent Programs aim to promote the holistic well-being of adolescents by addressing their physical, mental, and social health needs. Through comprehensive support and services, the program empowers adolescents to make informed decisions, build resilience, and reach their full potential.

Medical Outreach Support Project

The GVTF Medical Outreach Support Project provides essential healthcare services to vulnerable populations in rural communities. Through targeted medical interventions — such as treatment for malaria, diarrhea, pneumonia, deworming, and vitamin supplementation — the project aims to prevent illness, improve health outcomes, and enhance access to basic healthcare at the grassroots level.

Community Child Protection Support

GVTF's Community Child Protection Support program aims to safeguard the well-being of children by preventing and responding to abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Through awareness campaigns, workshops, and outreach, the program educates communities on child rights and protection, promotes positive parenting, and establishes reporting and response systems. It works collaboratively with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure at-risk children are identified, supported, and protected.
