Four thematic areas of focus

Every GVTF initiative sits under one of four pillars — each designed to address the root causes of vulnerability, not just its symptoms.

1

Health

GVTF designs and implements strategic interventions to reduce child mortality rates, improve maternal healthcare, and prevent sexual and reproductive health issues. Our health programs combat HIV/AIDS among key populations, the general population, adolescents and young people, and pediatric cases, including prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT). We also run prevention programs for malaria, childhood pneumonia and diarrhea, immunization drives, and strategic behavioral change communication to educate and sensitize public and rural communities on endemic diseases.

2

Education

GVTF promotes inclusive, quality education for vulnerable children and youth affected by poverty, abuse, or conflict. We support Back-to-School initiatives, provide learning materials, promote disability inclusion, integrate psychosocial support, offer life skills training, raise community awareness, and advocate for education policy reforms.

3

Empowerment & Civic Engagement

GVTF empowers marginalized individuals by providing life skills, leadership training, and economic support to promote self-reliance and financial independence. Through civic engagement, we foster active citizenship by raising awareness of civic rights, promoting voter education, peace building, advocacy, and good governance. Together, these programs build stronger, more inclusive communities.

4

Child Protection & GBV Prevention

GVTF works to prevent and respond to gender-based violence and child abuse through advocacy, survivor-centered support services, legal aid, and community-based prevention strategies. Our approach combines awareness campaigns, school and community-based protection structures, and close collaboration with government and civil society partners to keep children and women safe.
