Our commitment

Global Vision Trust Fund (GVTF) exists to protect the rights, safety, and dignity of children, women, and youth. Child protection and the prevention of gender-based violence are among our core thematic areas, not a peripheral concern. We hold ourselves to a zero-tolerance standard on abuse, neglect, exploitation, and trafficking, in every program we run and every community we work in.

Our approach

• We run school- and community-based Child Protection Clubs and Committees to build local capacity for preventing and responding to abuse.
• We work in active partnership with the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), the Child Protection Network (CPN), and the Network Against Child Trafficking, Abuse and Labour (NACTAL) to ensure cases are referred to the appropriate statutory authorities.
• All GVTF staff and volunteers working directly with children or survivors are expected to follow safeguarding conduct standards, including maintaining appropriate boundaries and reporting any concern immediately.
• We do not publish identifying details of survivors or beneficiaries of our child protection or GBV programs — including names, photographs, or specific incident details — on this website or in any public communication, regardless of how compelling the story.

Legal oversight

GVTF's Board of Trustees includes a dedicated Secretary and Legal Advisor with safeguarding responsibility, who reviews casework-adjacent matters prior to any public communication involving our child protection or GBV prevention work.
